Trump has been nominated for the Nobel Peace Prize due to his efforts in facilitating a ceasefire.

A member of Congress has put forward a nomination for US President Donald Trump for the Nobel Peace Prize.

Trump has received a nomination for his efforts as a mediator in establishing a ceasefire between Israel and Iran following almost two weeks of conflict, according to RT.
In a correspondence addressed to the Norwegian Nobel Committee, US Republican Congressman Earl "Buddy" Carter has put forward a nomination for President Trump.
He described President Trump's involvement as a mediator in the ceasefire between West Jerusalem and Tehran as "remarkable and unprecedented."
In the days leading up to Trump's announcement of a ceasefire, the United States executed unprecedented airstrikes targeting Iran's nuclear facilities located in Fordow, Natanz, and Isfahan.
President Trump asserts that these facilities have been entirely obliterated.
Tehran has asserted that all of its facilities remain intact and that there is no consideration of relinquishing its civilian nuclear program.
Shortly after Trump declared the ceasefire on Tuesday, Israel and Iran once more launched missiles at one another, leading Trump to issue a stern reprimand to both parties.
As per multiple media sources, Israel refrained from initiating any new attacks following this incident.
